MY OWN STORY

I Became the Dad I Swore I’d Never Be.

When I became a dad, I let myself go—overeating, skipping workouts, barely sleeping, and choosing convenience over quality.

I became fat, lazy, and weak. Over 2.5 years, I gained 40 lbs, lost my confidence, and felt ashamed of the man I had become.

Then, on December 30, 2018, I hit rock bottom.

The next day, I took my first step toward change—I walked a mile.

Right there, on the cold winter pavement, something ignited inside me. I refused to live like that any longer.

Over the next 18 months, through trial, error, and relentless effort, I transformed my body and my life. I lost 45 lbs, dropped from an XL to a M, regained my energy, and became the strongest, fittest version of myself—all while being a dad to two kids.

But the biggest transformation wasn’t just mine. It was my family’s.

My kids now have a dad they look up to.

My wife sees the strong, confident man she married.

And I finally became the husband, father, and leader I was meant to be.

Now, it’s my mission to help other dads do the same.

I specialize in weight-loss, general fitness and habit-building for busy dads. Your 12 Week LAUNCH Program is centered around you, your busy schedule, your physical abilities and your goals.

My program includes simple, yet effective, training programs that range from simply walking to weight training 5 days a week, and nutritional guidance that *encourages* eating your favorite treats.

In order to help others change, you need to know how to change yourself. Having been in your exact shoes before (overweight, exhausted, depressed), I know how difficult it is to find a program that is simple to follow AND is sustainable to achieve a LIFETIME of health. 

 

By focusing on the foundation of your health and replacing unhelpful habits with helpful, ENJOYABLE ones, we are able to create a new lifestyle that will ensure you are successful in your health and fitness goals forever!

A typical personal trainer’s main focus is helping clients in the gym for a short period of time each week. 

 

My support and coaching goes from Monday through Sunday for our 12 weeks together. That’s three months of on-tap, full time support.

 

My main goal as your Isle of Fitness coach is to help you build a foundation of healthy life habits that will serve to provide you with a lifetime of fitness and health forever. 

 

This stretches well beyond the gym and the kitchen. I provide you with a system you can implement into your everyday life. Ensuring you have the tools necessary to sustain a lifetime of fitness and health well after our 12 weeks partnership has been completed.

Making a change or taking a risk is always scary. I know exactly how you feel.  Remember, I was that obese dad who could barely walk without gasping for air! There were so many exercises that demoralized me and almost made me quit because I felt ashamed of myself for not being able to do them. For that reason, I don’t include the following exercises in my program, unless requested:

 

  1. Burpees 
  2. Pull-ups 
  3. Pushups 
  4. Crunches 
  5. Running 
  6. Or any other exercise that would make you feel the way I did when I first started! 

 

I value progress over perfection, so we will take baby steps through my effective and accessible training program that will help you build confidence first.  Allowing you to see what your body is truly capable of, and then build from there.
